Sketches

I use sketching to create ideas mainly inspired from places I have visited. When sketching places visited I draw in perspective as that is the way I remember places whereas when I am designing buildings of inspiration from certain movements I tend to draw isometric in as this helps me present the idea of what I'm designing.

I created this sketch when designing my architectural model in design, having split the drawing down the middle and creating two different aspects on either side helped me choose the design I wanted to continue with.

Visiting France I had gained a lot of inspiration from their buildings. Certain designs and engravings on door frames and banisters are intriguing to me, though I have not gone into extensive research I like to add small pieces of similar work to particular areas in my sketches.

These sketches were part of a product design component in which we prototyped pens out of foam and then continued to create pens by layering wood and sanding it down into the desired shape. Creating initial ideas and going through a process of development helped my sketching and ability to present ideas.
